Team Fury History

A Furious Team Was Born

Team Fury was the brain child of two likeminded ballers that wanted more out of paintball than just the game.  Namely Tim (Timboy) Barnet & Chris (The Swede) Henrysson it was because of these two people the Team was born at a site called aberpaintball in a Town called Aberystwyth Location Wales (if you didn’t already know that!).  Since conception the team has grown with strong values on and off the field of battle ensuring that only likeminded ballers joined the team to ensure that the values would continue to live on in the team as it grew and diversified.

As the team grew there was a core team Pure Fury and feeder team Fury Renegades.  Pure Fury was responsible for the smooth running of the team & attending a minimum of 8 events in the UK if you like the engine-house of the team.  Fury Renegades allowed other likeminded players to join the team & enjoy the benefits without the full commitment of Pure Fury members.  This worked well for the team until real world (none paintball) commitments started to take its toll on team members.

As with all teams there will be a drop off in members and Team Fury is no different numbers were getting very thin on the ground however, early 2008 there were some major changes afoot!  The team needed to reinvent itself after the loss of its team captain to the TA and other ventures this compounded with the loss of other key members due to work constraints and the like left the team in limbo only retaining 2 members of Pure Fury and a handful of Fury Renegades.  In May 2008 the team took stock of what was left & made massive efforts to put the team back on track with a new focus and roles for new & old members of Team Fury.  The team became one entity dropping the Renegades as the activities that Pure Fury were responsible for & the lack of numbers required the remaining Pure Fury & Fury Renegades to pull together to ensure that the team carried on.

A message to the founders & all Fury members – thanks for starting this team/ethos we will all endeavour to keep it alive for many years to come!
